Hafen's is a self-service garage. Instead of paying a mechanic, customers reserve a lift or floor space by the hour and get access to a professional shop with over 1000 tools on hand. They stay out of the elements, work at their own pace, and only pay for the time and space they use.

Why did Nathan start it? His answer is refreshingly honest: to make money. A great rental business does not need a complicated origin story. It needs a real demand, a smart model, and a way to run it without drowning in admin.

Why Nathan chose Lockii

The model was clear, but the tooling was not. An hourly self-service garage is a tricky thing to run. You are handling time-based reservations, payments, and building access, often outside of normal business hours, and most booking software is not built for it.

Nathan searched for a long time and kept hitting the same wall. In his words, he could not find a system that fit his needs until he found Lockii. Everything else was either too generic, too manual, or missing the pieces he needed to run his business while working his full-time job.

Nathan is not thinking small. His long-term goal is to rent self-service mechanics garages in all 50 states, taking the hobbyist revolt nationwide.

With admin down to seconds per booking and the workflow running itself, that kind of expansion becomes realistic. The same automated model that runs one shop can run the next one, and the one after that, without adding hours of manual work each time.
