Lockii exists to make renting things as easy as buying them online.
We started building self-service rental technology in 2019, launching the world’s first fully automated paddleboard rentals in regional Australia. Nothing on the market could take a booking, verify a customer, unlock a physical item and confirm its return without someone standing at a counter, so we built that system ourselves and ran our own fleet on it.
Running our own rentals taught us where rental businesses lose their time: being on call for every pickup, chasing documents that never arrive, and checking items back in by hand. We launched Lockii as a product in mid 2025 to give every operator the system we had already built for ourselves.
Today Lockii powers self-service rental operators across Australia, the United States and Europe, from single-trailer side businesses to fleets running hundreds of items across hundreds of locations. In early 2026, Lockii was backed by Australia’s largest startup accelerator.
Lockii handles 96% of rentals without staff intervention, allowing operators to scale without adding staff or expensive offices. Instead they focus on putting the "service", in self-service.

We would rather build the hard thing than sell around it. Every lock, tracker, payment and identity integration in Lockii are there because a real operator needed it, and each one is held to the same standard: it has to work unattended, EVERY TIME, with nobody watching.

With a background in IoT and operations automation, he has helped hundreds of operators strip the manual work out of every booking. He leads product and engineering from Melbourne, Australia.

Andrew joined Lockii in early 2026 as our founding sales. He works with operators from first touch through to franchise launch. Most of our customers know him as “the guy that gets shit done”. Andrew brings years of experience in large scale operations to the team to help us build the best self-service rental platform in the world.
