Liigu and Liligo partner on keyless car rentals in France
Liigu and French travel platform Liligo have launched a strategic partnership aimed at expanding access to contactless and keyless car rentals in France.
Under the collaboration, Liigu’s offers will be integrated into Liligo’s main search engine, making them available to millions of travelers in France and around the world. The companies said the long-term goal is to improve access to shared cars and offer an easily accessible alternative to owning a car.
Liligo has operated as a travel search engine in the French market since 2013. Its service compares plane tickets, train, bus, car rental, and hotel offers in one click so users can find prices and book travel in one place. Liigu, for its part, provides Car-as-a-Service and a fully digital rental experience to thousands of travelers.
Annemari Muru, CEO of Liigu, described the agreement as part of the company’s plans in France. "Collaboration with the best French travel platform is a huge responsibility and an opportunity for us.", she said. "This partnership is part of our next year's strategy to scale up on the French market. Together with Liligo, we bring keyless car rental to the spotlight in front of millions of travellers."
Charles Derynck, Liligo's managing director, said the integration is intended to streamline the travel process for customers. "Through the integration of Liigu’s service, we can offer users a simplified travel journey", added Charles Derynck, Liligo's managing director. "Customers can lock and unlock the car during the whole rental, only by using Liigu’s app. This makes traveling easier, safer, and less stressful. This collaboration changes the travel experience and makes it customer-centric."
