Stripe Identity walks customers through a live ID capture flow. Digital License Verification accepts a government-issued, cryptographically signed PDF for digital-only licences — an alternative path, not a stack on top of Stripe Identity.

Overview
Some customers no longer carry a physical card — only a signed digital licence PDF. Digital License Verification lets them upload that document instead of running Stripe Identity.
Lockii checks the PDF signature against trusted government certificate authorities, optionally matches a selfie to the face on the licence, and marks the customer verified for self-service pickup.
How it works
- Enable Digital License Verification in Lockii Settings → Integrations → Verification (platform entitlement required).
- Customers receive an upload link and submit their signed licence PDF — and a selfie if face match is on.
- Lockii validates the signature, expiry, and optional face match, then marks the customer verified.
Configure
- Ask Lockii to enable Digital License Verification for your company, then open Settings → Integrations → Verification.
- Turn the integration on and choose whether to require selfie face match.
- Send a test upload link from a customer profile to confirm the flow end to end.
Frequently asked questions
Lockii accepts signed digital licence PDFs from allowlisted government issuers. Queensland (Australia) Department of Transport and Main Roads exports are supported today; more issuers can be added over time.
No. You can enable PDF signature checks alone, or also require a selfie matched to the licence photo with a configurable similarity threshold.
